Il saggio, che si inserisce nel quadro delle celebrazioni per il centenario dell’Ateneo fiorentino, ripercorre alcuni tratti salienti dell’itinerario intellettuale di Cesare Luporini. Il saggio evidenzia la ricchezza dei piani di riflessione presenti nel pensiero di Luporini, ricostruendone i momenti fondamentali a partire dalla fase esistenzialista. A guidare questa ricostruzione sono tre parole-chiave: libertà, situazione e futuro.

This short article develops a thematic introduction to the texts presented for the seminar "Three Great Philosophers of the University of Florence", October 18, 2024, Department of Literature and Philosophy of the University of Florence, events for the Celebration of the UNIFI Centenary – Philosophy Section.

Lo studio ripercorre parte dell’attività di Romagnoli e mette in risalto l’intenso rapporto da lui stabilito tra l’insegnamento e la ricerca.

Peter Kolosimo è stato un personaggio molto noto in Italia e all'estero tra gli anni Sessanta e Ottanta del Novecento. I suoi libri hanno avuto un grande successo, in particolare quelli dedicati alla cosiddetta “teoria degli antichi astronauti”: l'ipotesi che la Terra sia stata visitata in tempi ancestrali da extraterrestri, che hanno interferito sullo sviluppo biologico e culturale umano. Scopo di questo saggio è di mostrare come la formazione intellettuale di Kolosimo debba molto alla fantascienza e alla letteratura a fumetti.

Peter Kolosimo was a very well-known figure in Italy and abroad between the 1960s and 1980s. His books have had great success, in particular those dedicated to the so-called "ancient astronaut theory": the hypothesis that the Earth was visited in ancestral times by extraterrestrials, who interfered with human biological and cultural development. The aim of this essay is to show how Kolosimo's intellectual formation owes much to science fiction and comics literature.

Tra le novità del Vocabolario Dantesco spicca l'apertura del suo lemmario alla varia lectio testimoniata dalla ricca e complessa tradizione del poema. Il contributo si sofferma sul trattamento lessicografico di tale particolare materiale lessicale, mettendone a fuoco i criteri, i problemi metodologici e i risultati in acquisizione (anche alla luce del recente finanziamento PRIN, specificamente inteso alla valorizzazione della lezioni alternative lessicalmente rilevanti). Si discutono inoltre, come casi esemplari, le voci imbiancare (Purg. IX 2) e appulcrare (Inf. VII 60), con le relative varianti.

The Vocabolario Dantesco also considers, within its lemmarium, the words that come from the varia lectio of the poem, so rich and complex. The essay focuses on the innovative lexicographic treatment of this particular lexical material, focusing on the criteria, the methodological problems and the first results (also in light of the recent PRIN funding, specifically aimed at enhancing lexically relevant alternative lessons). The essay also discusses, as exemplary cases, the entries imbiancare (Purg. IX 2) and appulcrare (Inf. VII 60), with their relative variants.

Il contributo ricostruisce la storia della terza pagina di «La Patria», «quotidiano per l’esercito» (con sede in via Ricasoli a Firenze) che vede la luce il 24 febbraio 1945 e che dura fino al 30 settembre 1945, per un totale di 185 numeri. Di ottima qualità, la terza pagina della «Patria» vanta collaborazioni di scrittori all’epoca più o meno giovani e più o meno noti (fra i quali Carlo Emilio Gadda, Eugenio Montale, Mario Luzi, Leone Piccioni, Piero Bigongiari) che vi pubblicano racconti, articoli di cultura, recensioni. A corredare il contributo è l’indice completo delle terze pagine del quotidiano.

The contribution reconstructs the history of the third page of «La Patria», «daily for the army» (based in via Ricasoli in Florence) which sees the light on 24 February 1945 and which lasts until 30 September 1945, for a total of 185 numbers. Of excellent quality, the third page of «Patria» boasts collaborations with more or less young and more or less well-known writers at the time (including Carlo Emilio Gadda, Eugenio Montale, Mario Luzi, Leone Piccioni, Piero Bigongiari) who publish stories, culture articles, reviews. Il presente contributo ha per tema il nesso concettuale labirinto-inferno. Muovendo brevemente dalla sua origine arcaico-mitologica e assumendone la successiva declinazione cristiana, l’articolo approfondisce poi più propriamente la traduzione secolarizzata e in termini di fantasmagoria dello stesso. Ciò a partire dall’avvento della seconda modernità, quindi dalla transizione al capitalismo avanzato e attraverso autori di riferimento quali i surrealisti Louis Aragon e André Breton, Roger Caillois, Walter Benjamin. Infine il testo propone un’attualizzazione dell’idea labirintico-infernale nel contesto categoriale delle analisi del postmoderno fino allo scenario contemporaneo, interrogando alcuni dei problemi principali posti dalla rivoluzione digitale, la relazione immagine-realtà, le oscillazioni tra il catastrofismo tecnofobico e le utopie accelerazioniste, il dissolvimento delle fantasmagorie del presente.

This contribution deals with the conceptual nexus of the labyrinth and hell. Starting briefly from its archaic-mythological origin and assuming its subsequent Christian declination, the article then delves more specifically into its secularised translation and in terms of phantasmagoria. This starts with the advent of modernity, then the transition to advanced capitalism and through reference authors such as the surrealists Louis Aragon and André Breton, Roger Caillois and Walter Benjamin. Finally, the text proposes an actualisation of the labyrinthine-infernal idea in the categorical context of the analyses of postmodernism up to the contemporary scenario, questioning some of the main problems posed by the digital revolution, the image-reality relation, the oscillations between technophobic catastrophism and accelerationist utopias, the dissolution of the phantasmagorias of the present.
