The contribution reconstructs the history of the third page of «La Patria», «daily for the army» (based in via Ricasoli in Florence) which sees the light on 24 February 1945 and which lasts until 30 September 1945, for a total of 185 numbers. Of excellent quality, the third page of «Patria» boasts collaborations with more or less young and more or less well-known writers at the time (including Carlo Emilio Gadda, Eugenio Montale, Mario Luzi, Leone Piccioni, Piero Bigongiari) who publish stories, culture articles, reviews. Viene ripercorsa l’intera attività scientifica di Oreste Macrí, italianista, ispanista, francesista, teorico della letteratura. Viene sottolineata la vastità della sua cultura, la ricchezza dei riferimenti letterari e filosofici presenti in ogni sua pagina critica, la generosità di alcune sue teorie (in particolare di quella delle generazioni).  Importante il ruolo da lui svolto all’interno della terza generazione poetica del Novecento: l’ermetismo, che contribuì a fondare e di cui è stato tra i maggiori studiosi. This essay traces the scholarly work of Oreste Macrí, an Italianist, a Hispanist, a French scholar, and a literary theorist. It highlights the vastness of his culture, the richness of the literary and philosophical references present in every critical page, and the generosity of some of his theories (particularly that of generations). He played a significant role in the third generation of twentieth-century poetry: Hermeticism, which he helped found and of which he was a leading scholar. Nor is his private life overlooked, the importance given to living quarters, the passion for teaching, and the deep debt owed to him by generations of students and scholars.

Il saggio si concentra sul rapporto di Gadda e di Pasolini con le rispettive madri, analizzando le somiglianze e le differenze di tali legami. Si osserva come le due figure femminili abbiano influenzato sensibilmente la biografia e la bibliografia dei due celebri autori.
