Tra le novità del Vocabolario Dantesco spicca l'apertura del suo lemmario alla varia lectio testimoniata dalla ricca e complessa tradizione del poema. Il contributo si sofferma sul trattamento lessicografico di tale particolare materiale lessicale, mettendone a fuoco i criteri, i problemi metodologici e i risultati in acquisizione (anche alla luce del recente finanziamento PRIN, specificamente inteso alla valorizzazione della lezioni alternative lessicalmente rilevanti). Si discutono inoltre, come casi esemplari, le voci imbiancare (Purg. IX 2) e appulcrare (Inf. VII 60), con le relative varianti.

The Vocabolario Dantesco also considers, within its lemmarium, the words that come from the varia lectio of the poem, so rich and complex. The essay focuses on the innovative lexicographic treatment of this particular lexical material, focusing on the criteria, the methodological problems and the first results (also in light of the recent PRIN funding, specifically aimed at enhancing lexically relevant alternative lessons). The essay also discusses, as exemplary cases, the entries imbiancare (Purg. IX 2) and appulcrare (Inf. VII 60), with their relative variants.

Abstract

Il contributo prende in esame alcuni tecnicismi propri della filosofia naturale medievale che risultano attestati in volgare per la prima volta proprio grazie al poema dantesco (come denso, esalazione ecc.). Un'attenzione particolare è dedicata anche al ruolo svolto dai più antichi esegeti della Commedia nell'introduzione e nella diffusione di tale lessico.

The essay focuses on some technicalities typical of medieval natural philosophy that are documented in the ancient italian for the first time through the Divine Comedy (such as denso, esalazione etc.). Particular attention is also dedicated to the role played by the commentaries of the 14th century in the dissemination of this lexicon.

Questo articolo offre note critico-testuali e nuove emendazioni a tre passi, Polyb. 7, 7, 7, Sen. Phae. 558, Ulpian. 1 ad edict. (Dig. 11, 4, 2 = Lenel, Paling. 185); mostra, inoltre, che il Ludus septem sapientum di Ausonio ha tra i suoi modelli letterari Phaedr. 5, 7 Z., e che Auian. fab. 9, 21 deriva da Catull. 115, 7.

This article offers critical remarks and new emendations on three passages, Polyb. 7, 7, 7, Sen. Phae. 558, Ulpian. 1 ad edict. (Dig. 11, 4, 2 = Lenel, Paling. 185). It also shows that Ausonius’s Ludus septem sapientum has among its literary models Phaedr. 5, 7 Z., and that Auian. fab. 9, 21 derives from Catull. 115, 7.
