La collaborazione al A Pilot Project in the Digitisation of Epigraphic Manuscripts (ProDEM). Senator Filippo Buonarroti's Papers and Antiquarian Culture under the Last Medicis e la rilettura del codice BMF A43 ha ribadito l’importanza e la necessità di una consultazione autoptica delle fonti. Nel contributo si presentano infatti alcune novità di carattere epigrafico, ad esempio la dedica a Silvano (CIL VI 581) non più urbana ma pertinente a Gabii, e topografico (nuove informazioni di provenienze, riconsiderazioni su alcune vigne urbane), nonché una serie di altre annotazioni rimaste “nascoste” fino ad ora (vd. ad es. CIL VI 13037 e 19557).

The collaboration on the A Pilot Project in the Digitisation of Epigraphic Manuscripts (ProDEM). Senator Filippo Buonarroti's Papers and Antiquarian Culture under the Last Medicis and the re-examination of codex BMF A43 have reaffirmed the importance and necessity of autoptic consultation of sources. This contribution presents several new developments of an epigraphic nature - for example, the dedication to Silvanus (CIL VI 581), now understood to pertain not to Rome but to Gabii - as well as of a topographical nature (new provenance information, reconsiderations regarding certain urban vineyards). It also highlights a series of other annotations that had remained “hidden” until now (see, for instance, CIL VI 13037 and 19557).
