Proponho uma análise hermenêutica da concepção lírica da poesia de Teixeira de Pascoaes      (1877-1952), poeta representativo do alto romantismo português, e de Vita Nuova de Dante Alighieri (1265-1321), lido por Auerbach como um criador do romantismo. Respeitando as idiossincrasias autorais, a exegese fundamenta-se num tópico bifurcado que perpassa a legião dos poetas líricos, a saber: a invenção do amor, através da distinção entre «amor amante» e «amor criador», e da figura da mulher amada, Beatriz e Eleonor, respectivamente. Esta distinção permite entender Dante e Pascoaes como dois realistas do desejo e o amor como o protesto mais sério contra a morte.

I propose a hermeneutic analysis of the lyrical conception of the poetry of Teixeira de Pascoaes (1877-1952), a representative poet of high Portuguese romanticism, and of Vita Nuova by Dante Alighieri (1265-1321), read by Auerbach as a creator of romanticism. Respecting authorial idiosyncrasies, this exegesis is based on a bifurcated topic that runs through the legion of lyrical poets: the invention of love, through the distinction between «loving love» and «creational love», and the figure of the beloved women, Beatriz and Eleonor, respectively. This distinction allows us to understand Dante and Pascoaes as two realists of desire, and love as the most profound protest against death.

Nel 2009, prodotto dalla Produção filmes do Tejo esce il film Singularidades de uma Rapariga Loira, diretto dal celebre regista portoghese Manoel Oliveira (1908-2015). Il film riprende l’omonimo racconto di Eça de Queirós (1845-1900). Il presente lavoro analizza le principali caratteristiche testuali del testo queirosiano e il modo in cui il regista realizza una traduzione intersemiotica individuando i principali segni del testo stesso.

In 2009, produced by Produção filmes do Tejo, the film Singularidades de uma Rapariga Loira was released, directed by renowned Portuguese director Manoel Oliveira (1908-2015). The film takes up the short story of the same name by Eça de Queirós (1845-1900). This paper analyzes the main textual features of the text of Eça and the way the filmmaker makes an intersemiotic translation by identifying the main signs of the text itself.

Presentation note from the scientific coordinator of the "Masters of Literature" seminar promoted by the "Italian Literature and Romance Studies" section of the Department of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Florence on the occasion of the university's centenary.

Questi interventi sono il frutto di una giornata di studi tenutasi presso l’Università di Firenze, dal titolo: Due maestri di letterature neolatine: Oreste Macrí e Arnaldo Pizzorusso. L’evento, che si inserisce nel contesto dell’iniziativa Un secolo d’eccellenza. I grandi umanisti dell’Università di Firenze coordinata dal Direttore del Dipartimento di Lettere e Filosofia (DILEF) prof. Simone Magherini nell’ambito degli eventi per il centenario dell’Università di Firenze, fu organizzato nell’ambito delle attività promosse dalla sezione di Letteratura italiana e Romanistica. Per l’occasione, allieve e allievi hanno ricordato i due Maestri dell’Ispanistica e della Francesistica fiorentina e la profonda impronta lasciata dal loro magistero in intere generazioni di studenti.

These presentations are the result of a study day held at the University of Florence entitled: Two masters of neo-Latin literature: Oreste Macrí and Arnaldo Pizzorusso. The event, which is part of the initiative: A century of excellence. The great humanists of the University of Florence coordinated by the Director of the Department of Literature and Philosophy (DILEF) Prof. Simone Magherini as part of the events for the centenary of the University of Florence, was organised as part of the activities promoted by the Italian and Romance Literature section. For the occasion, students remembered the two masters of Spanish and French studies in Florence and the profound mark left by their teaching on entire generations of students.
